Alton Wayne (Tucker) Vasser
Tucker Vasser was born April 18, 1939 in Chilton, Texas to George & Velma Vasser. He went to be with his Lord January 30, 2016.
Tucker graduated from Chilton High School in 1958 and married his sweetheart, Annabelle, on June 3, 1961. He worked as a machinist for Letourneau in Longview from 1964 until he retired in 2004. He loved spending time with his family, cooking on the grill and going antique hunting and buying old clocks which he collected and repaired. Tucker was an active member of First Methodist Hallsville for 20 years where he loved to serve as a greeter every Sunday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, G. L., Billy and Bob Vasser, and sister, Eunice Vasser.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Annabelle, his daughter Shinia Kelsey and husband, Bob, one sister Helen Nolen of Longview, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 12:00 noon at First Methodist Church Hallsville with a celebration service at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Brian Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Hallsville Cemetery.
