Graveside services for Alta J. Alston, 63, of Longview will be held at Twelve O?clock Noon Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Maple Springs Cemetery in Newsome, Texas with Brother Joe McGraw officiating under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Alston died Tuesday at a Longview hospital.
She was born November 10, 1938 in Mississippi and had lived in Longview since1948. She was a Baptist and had worked as a bookkeeper for the R. C. Wood Company for over thirty years.
She is survived by Husband, Jackie Joe Alston, Sr. of Longview; Daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Jo and Darryl Gann of Longview; Son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Amanda Alston of Nashville, Tennessee; Mother, Fannie Fleming of Oregon; Half-Brother, Floyd Holt of Oregon; Grandchildren, Christopher Goodman, Kandice Goodman, Jonathan Goodman, Christopher Gann, Casey Gann, Clay Gann, Chelsea Gann, Cameron Gann and Bailey Alston.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
