Services for Alma C. Culley, 100, of Longview will be at 12 Noon Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Reverend David Lindwall officiating. Burial will follow in Law?s Chapel Cemetery near Atlanta, TX. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Ms. Culley passed away Monday morning in a local hospital.
Alma C. Culley was born November 15, 1904 in Springfield, Missouri to Charles and Effie Mae Gordan. She has been a part of the Longview community since 1933. She worked as a secretary as well as in bookkeeping and accounting during her career but took the most pride in being a single parent and caring for her family. She enjoyed being independent in her later years and loved reading, exercising regularly, taking care of her 2 birds, and spending time with her many long-time and loving friends. She was strong in her faith and accredited her long life to ?putting one foot in front of the other and trusting in the Lord.?
She was preceded in death by a son, Terrance Robert Culley.
She is survived by 2 grandchildren: Robert Douglas Culley and wife Karen of Austin, TX, and Terry Ann Culley of Dallas, TX; and 4 great-grandchildren: Brook, Leah, Brenna, and Alyssa.
