Allan Earl Wisenbaker Jr's Obituary
A celebration of life for Allan Earl Wisenbaker, 51, of Longview, will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Rader Funeral Home in Longview. The viewing will be 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
Allan was born August 9, 1966, in Longview Texas to Dr. Allan Earl Wisenbaker and Jaquelyn Gullie Leutwyler Wisenbaker. He attended Longview High School and earned an Associate’s Degree from Kilgore College. He worked as a mechanic most of his life, and for a time owned his own shop. The latter part of his career was spent as a natural gas compressor mechanic for Estis Compression. Allan’s favorite pastime was tuning on and racing his 1974 Camaro, which was also his very first car. Along with drag racing, he loved trail riding in a side by side, riding the roads on his Harley and playing golf. He had several nicknames starting with Baby Allan, then Al and YZ and, lovingly, Dik. Allan was always the life of any party and often the entertainment as well. He never met a stranger and enjoyed making people laugh. He was always willing to help anyone in need and spent many hours on the phone talking to family or a friend, often with car questions and just as often would end up fixing the car in his own driveway. He loved his family and friends deeply and passionately, and his passing has left a great void in all who knew him. Thankfully, he left us with many wonderful memories and great stories that will be told for years to come.
Allan is survived by his wife, Wendy McQueen Wisenbaker of Longview, daughter Madeleine Wisenbaker and her fiancé Cory Patterson of Longview, stepson Myles Wisenbaker, stepdaughter Neely Duncan, stepson Blake Duncan, sister Debra Kahn Freeman and husband Adam Kahn of Colorado, sister Marilyn Cusano and husband James Cusano of Flower Mound, uncle James Wisenbaker of Longview, uncle Walt Leutwyler of Dallas, aunt Gail Stinson of Ruston, LA, grandsons Kayden Gabriel and Carson Qualls, granddaughter Reece Wisenbaker, and honorary granddaughters Maycie and Lailah Patterson; also four nieces, two nephews, three great nieces and one great nephew, along with cousins and many wonderful friends. He is preceded in death by his father and mother and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Terry Martin, Tommy Hiltzman, Eric Stark, Todd Lucas, Jeremy Schooley and Brett Goode.
Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Kilfoil, Cliff Huff, Rick Carter, Alan McJunkins, Bud Rankin, Mark Bewley, John Simons, Bryan Simons, Heath Moser, Mark Whinnery and so many more.
