Alice Elois Vorsas' Obituary
Alice Tarkington Vorsas was born on August 30, 1923 in Bee Branch, Arkansas. She was one of nine children raised in Donaldson, Arkansas. She helped win a world war with her work in a defense plant during WWII. She lived in Longview, Texas for many years and was a devoted member of Alpine Presbyterian Church. She lived in Tyler for the past twelve years and died on December 19, 2017. She is survived by her two sons; Joseph in Tyler and David in Boca Raton, Florida. She was married to Harry Vorsas who retired from the US Navy after a 31 year career. He died in 2001. She was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by her family and friends. There will be a graveside service at Alpine Cemetery on Friday, January 5, 2017 at 11 a.m. with a reception and luncheon following the service at Alpine Presbyterian Church.
