Alice Catherine Miller age 95, of Longview, passed away April 14, 2015. She was born November 8, 1919 in South Bend, Indiana to Amedee and Marie Neland. She was the fourth of five children. On September 7, 1940 she married Carl He Read Obituary
Mrs. Miller lived across the street from my family until we moved out of the neighborhood when I was 12. I always remember her sitting on her porch watching the neighborhood. Everyone knew her and would always wave or stop by to say hello. She was an incredible woman and she will be missed.
For several months I took Alice to 8 am mass at St Anthony's catholic church. She loved seeing her church family and tried to say hi to those she knew.Three of tbe ushers gave her special attention as did other church members who greeted her when she came in. There was one little girl who Alice always said hi to and told her how pretty she was. She never met a stranger. Alice loved it when the sun came out and the flowers were blooming. The times spent with Alice were memorable and I will treasure them. May the family find comfort in the tears shed that she is with God and at peace.
