Funeral services for Alice Helen Smith, 89, of Gilmer will be held at Twelve O'clock Noon Thursday October 15, 2009 at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home 1617 Judson Road. Interment will follow in Kilgore City Cemetery in Kilgore, Texas under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Smith passed away Saturday October 10, 2009 in Longview.
She was born November 13, 1919 in Red Lake County, Minnesota to Edward and Clara Skalet Anderson.
She was a bookkeeper for A&P and Kroger Grocery Stores and had lived in this area the past thirty years moving here from Houston. She was a member of the Longview Senior Citizens Circle .
She is survived by her children, Sandra Ethridge Knight and husband Michael of Houston, Larry Ethridge and wife Doris of Union Grove, Victor Steven Ethridge and Loma Gibson of Gilmer, five grandchildren, Renee Ethridge, Michael Knight, Jr, Mandy Angenend and Jeff Velvin, Alan Ethridge and Shawn Ethridge and wife Becky, five great-grandchildren, Caylan Angenend, Gavin Angenend, Joshua Velvin, Sophia Ethridge and Audree Ethridge, one sister, Ida Thompson and husband George of Ames, Iowa, three brothers, Johnny David Anderson and wife Lily of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Orlyn Anderson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kenneth Anderson and wife Marcile of Glenville, Minnesota, and numerous nieces and nephews
