Alice Faye Frick's Obituary
Alice Faye Frick, a beloved teacher and cherished member of the Longview community, passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 85. Born on August 11, 1938, in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, Alice was the loving daughter of Albert Blanton and Imogene Lacy.
Alice's journey began in California, but her heart eventually found its home in the welcoming embrace of Longview, Texas. She dedicated her life to the noble profession of teaching, leaving an indelible mark on the minds and hearts of countless students. Armed with a master’s degree, she demonstrated her lifelong commitment to personal growth and intellectual development. With her unwavering passion and dedication, Alice touched the lives of generations of young minds during her remarkable teaching career, that included her 26-year tenure as a teacher at Gilmer Independent School District.
With her infectious enthusiasm and nurturing spirit, Alice became more than just an educator; she became a beacon of knowledge, inspiration, and kindness for all who had the privilege of knowing her. She possessed a rare ability to ignite a thirst for learning in her students, nurturing their individual talents and igniting their curiosity. Her impact on the lives of her students will forever be a testament to her unwavering commitment to education.
In addition to her professional achievements, Alice treasured her role as a daughter, sister, and mother. She leaves behind her loving daughter Pamela Lewis and husband Cornelious, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Matthew Frick, Kiante Frick, Corleone Lewis, Jonathan Skaggs, and Eric Robinson, great grandchildren, Kianna Frick, Kortland Frick, Kyrie Frick, Margaret Alice Frick, Victoria Frick, Josephine Frick, Ezra Robinson, nieces, Jeannie Bockman and Cheryl Minotti and devoted nephew, Terry Frick. Their lives were forever enriched by Alice's deep love and unwavering support.
To honor the extraordinary life of Alice Faye Frick, a Funeral Service will be held on September 1, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held at 9:30 am, allowing friends and loved ones to pay their respects and share cherished memories.
Although Alice's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her legacy of compassion, wisdom, and love will continue to resonate within our hearts. Let us remember her as the best woman in the world, whose beautiful spirit will forever guide and inspire us.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Heartsway Hospice in honor of Alice's lifelong commitment to love and compassion for others.
