Funeral services for Alice Edna Mellard Woodul, 91, of Longview will be held at Eleven O?clock AM Friday April 4, 2003 at the Greggton United Methodist Church with Reverends Emmitt Barrow and Lynne Settlemyer officiating. Burial will be at Three O?clock PM in the Woodul Oak Grove Cemetery in Hope, Arkansas. Mrs. Woodul passed away Tuesday April 1, 2003 in Longview.
She was born August 15, 1911 in Union County, Arkansas to Benjamin Walter and Roberta McGee Mellard. In 1932 she married Cecil Woodul , who preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Woodul had lived in Longview since 1965 moving here from Sulphur, Louisiana. She was a school teacher and taught mostly in Arkansas. She was a member of the Greggton United Methodist Church where she also taught Sunday school.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Woodul Spier of Longview; son, James Ethridge Woodul of Longview; sister, Billie Van Horn of Jonesboro, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren, eight nephews, five nieces.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday April 3, 2003 from 6pm until 8 pm.
