Alfred Thomas "AT" Burke's Obituary
Alfred Thomas “AT” Burke, 88 yrs young, passed away November 29, 2016 on a beautiful day, surrounded by loved ones. Al married Rita, his wife of 65 years, after they met at the Catholic High School dance in Chicago. They produced six daughters, twelve grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Al Burke grew up in Chicago and worked his way to being the largest independent Franchisee Pepsi Cola had. That enterprise, which culminated in thirty-one franchises including production and sales centers, began right here in Longview, TX.
After many successful business ventures, he “retired” as a Consultant with his decades long partner and CPA, Randy Rose, also right here in Longview.
His family is proud to call Longview home, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church “Their” church. The family so appreciates the church’s communion ministry for the home bound, and Ambucs wheel-chair recycling ministry.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a time of visitation from 5pm-7pm Friday, December 2, 2016 at Rader Funeral Home, Longview then funeral services 3pm, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the funeral Home with interment to follow at Rosewood Park.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation and “Thank You” to Life Care Home Health, especially Danyale, RN and Debbie, the Administrator. Your company is a game changer and when it’s most important, you guys are there.
