Graveside services for Alean Dauphin Dean, 82, of Gladewater, will be held at 11 AM Friday January 10, 2003 at Rosedale Cemetery with Father Ronald Demski officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. A Rosary will be recited at 4:30 PM Thursday, January 9, 2003 in the funeral home chapel, 1617 Judson Road. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM following the rosary.
Mrs. Dean was born on November 1, 1920 in Oil City, LA. to Peter and Mary Dauphin. She passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at Hospice Homeplace of Tyler.
She was a life long resident of Gladewater. She was a graduate of Gladewater high school, Kilgore college and a head dispatcher for the Gladewater Police Department for 30 years.
A loving mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Sidney Dauphin and Wilson Dauphin, both of Silsbee. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Adonna and Thomas Hatcher of Tyler, son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Dena Dean of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Suzanne Tant of Tyler, Carla Dean of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Eric Dean of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, sister-in-law and her daughter, Charline and Robin Dauphin of Silsbee, sister, Maxine Scheuerman of Tyler, special friends, Sandra and Johnny Godwin of Longview, and numerous nieces and nephews.
