Albert K. Taylor
Funeral services for Albert K. Taylor, 81, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many, of Longview will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverend Scott Schulik officiating. Burial will follow in Tatum Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Taylor was born June 9, 1934 in Dirgin, TX to Ann and E.A. Taylor and peacefully went home to be with his Lord on May 11, 2016.
He was a long time resident of the Longview area and attended Tatum Schools. He retired as a supervisor for Texas Eastman following 34 years of employment. After retirement he worked for the Cherokee Water Co., and served on the Lakeport City Council. He was a long time active member of Mobberly Baptist Church. He honorably served in the U. S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brian Taylor of Pineland, TX; brother-in-law, Phelix Martin of Beckville, TX; sister-in-law, Betty Martin Weatherford of Henderson; and nephew Eric Hampton.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 62 years, Jetta Taylor; daughter Deborah and husband Dr. Richard Hatley of Paris, TX; daughter-in-law, Hassie Taylor of Pineland, TX; grandchildren, Jonathan Hatley of Fort Worth, TX and Madeleine Hatley of Austin, TX; Rachel Taylor of Beaumont, TX, Holly and Lauren Taylor; brother Edd Taylor and wife Wilma; sister, Julia Hampton and husband Leo, all of Tatum. sisters-in-law, Lois Martin Walker of Nacogdoches, TX, Carolyn Harmon and husband Conley of Longview; Dianne Martin of Beckville, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
