Services for Albert Thomas Fanning (Tom), 73, of Longview, will be held Friday, April 20 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The rosary will be said at 10:30 followed by Mass at 11:00. A reception will immediately follow the Mass at St Read Obituary
To all of Tom's family - I was a young engineer without much direction at Eastman many years ago. Although I did not work directly for him, he provided valuable mentorship and friendship. He was a great help professionally and friendship-wise. I regret we didn't become closer friends.
Tom was a great guy and I was so sad to hear of his passing.
Angele, Tracey, Andrew and Matthew, I was saddened to hear of your loss. Tom was such a kind, sweet man, and you all were wonderful neighbors. Sending prayers and peace to your family.

Tom always treated everyone the same all the years I worked around him at Texas Eastman Company. He was always pleasant to be around and he made each person feel special. He was a roll model on how to treat your fellow man.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Angelle and Tom's family. I was fortunate to work with Tom for many years as a fellow chemist. He was diligent and skilled in his chosen profession. More importantly, he was a wonderful person to work with . I liked to think of him as a "happy warrior". No crisis could perturb him in a way that would cloud his ability to break into a smile or hearty laugh while dealing with the problem. You could always tell a capable person in dealing with things like that as he was a guy people would consult with to take care of things. His wounderful spirit carried over into anything he did in life wether it be raising his kids, or coaching soccer or serving in many ways with his church and community. We know that he suffered with Parkinson's but he never lost his positive way of looking at life nor in his faith in God's plan. We'll miss you Tom. Rest in Peace..
