Albert ?Al? Clark
Albert Earl Clark was born June 8, 1922, in Marshall Texas and passed away on July 28, 2010 in The Colony, Texas at the age of 88. He was raised in Marshall and lived there until joining the military in 1940. He was proud to serve in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer after twenty years of service. He served active duty during World War II. After retiring from the Navy he worked for Lockheed-Martin and was an active member of the Elks Lodge #1138, the VFW, and the Masons. He was predeceased by his spouse, Charslee, in 1992 after 46 years of marriage. He was also predeceased by his brother, Leonard. He is survived by daughters Carolyn Heil and Patricia Campbell, both of Longview, and granddaughters Trisha Ellis, Stacie Magnuson, Jennifer Campbell, and Sarah Campbell along with six great-grandchildren and many friends and loved ones. He will always be remembered as a patriot who loved his country as well as a man of many sayings and stories. He was a man who showed great integrity in all situations. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in honor of Al to the VFW online at www.vfw.org or a charity of your choice. Family will receive friends and loved ones on Sunday, August 1, 2010 from 6-8 pm for the viewing. Funeral services to be held on Monday, August 2 at 12:00 pm. Arrangements to be handled by Rader Funeral Home. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and loved ones.
