Alan Dale Westbrook's Obituary
Funeral services for Alan Dale Westbrook, 57, of Gladewater, formerly of Fairbanks Alaska, will be held at 10 AM Thursday, September 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park. Mr. Westbrook passed away Saturday morning at his home in Gladewater. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM.
Alan was born on May 23, 1959 in Lake Charles, LA to JT and Pat Westbrook. He loved living life in Alaska with his wife of 39 years, Carol Westbrook. Mr. Westbrook was an avid moose hunter and loved fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time in his cabin in the mountains. He started as a route driver for Vend Alaska, a vending machine company, and ended being a partner in the company. He retired after 25 years and moved back to east Texas. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Westbrook was preceded in death by his father; and his grandparents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carol Westbrook; his mother, Pat Westbrook; his children, Kristi Deskins and her husband Bob, and Adina Grimsley and her husband Rob; his step children, Darran Laminack, Stacy Laminack, and Kimberly Evans; his brothers, Roy Westbrook and Robert Westbrook; and his sister, Diana Pate.
