A. K. "Art" Stubbs' Obituary
Services for A. K. "Art" Stubbs, 79, of Longview, will be 2 PM Wednesday, February 5th at Winterfield United Methodist Church with Reverend Mike Lindstrom officiating. Burial, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, will be at Memory Park. Mr. Stubbs died Monday, February 3rd at his residence.
He was born March 29, 1923 at Tarrytown, New York to Arthur and Mildred Knowlden Stubbs. A long-time resident of Longview, he was a member of the Winterfield United Methodist Church, a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, and was an oil and gas landman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mildred Julia Stubbs, and a grandson, Blake Knowlden Sturman. He is survived by daughter, Connie Mijalis of Longview; son and daughter-in-law Danny and Jan Gould Black of Longview; daughter, Jeanene Black of Hallsville; daughter and son-in-law, LaJean and Daniel Sturman of Ft. Worth; grandchildren; Misty and Tommy Irby of Dallas, Brannon and Christina King of Houston, Gwen Black of Longview, Dena and Gary Dollison of Longview, Melisa and Roy Hoffman of Vidor, Connie Moore of Longview, and Brent Sturman of Ft. Worth, and 11 great grandchildren with another expected.
The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
