Funeral services for Adelle Lambert Elwood, 85, of Longview will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2014 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview with the Reverends Dick Sawyer and Thomas Ayers officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Park. She passed away Monday, February 03, 2014 in a Longview nursing facility.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Elwood was born September 5, 1928 in Roscoe, TX to Giles and Lena Mae Lambert. She was a homemaker and attended Camille Acres Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Elwood; and 4 brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, David Elwood and wife Julia of White Oak, Keith Elwood and wife Patty of Bedford, TX, and Johnny Elwood and wife Debi of Spotsylvania, VA; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and sisters Elsie Fuller, Lena Mae Baker and Evanell Martin all of Canton, and Emma Jean Milliorn and husband Doyle of Grand Saline, TX.
