Addijo Whitaker Williams
Funeral services for Addijo Whitaker Williams, 92, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Chapel of Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 5000 W. Harrison Rd, Longview.  Entombment will follow under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.  She passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012 at her residence in Longview.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Rader Funeral Home on Judson Rd.
Addijo was born September 3, 1919 in Nacogdoches County, TX to Charles Richard Whitaker and Addie Hogan Whitaker and had been a resident of Longview since 1940.  She was retired from the Longview Independent School District after 41 years service as a teacher and an administrator.  She received her Masters of Education from Stephen F. Austin University.  Addijo was a member of the Zonta Club, the Woman's Forum and the Longview Gregg County Retired Teachers Association.  She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in White Oak.
Addijo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J. Harold Williams, five older sisters, and three older brothers.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their families.  The family expresses its deep appreciation to CareTeam Hospice, as well as her team of caregivers who faithfully and lovingly met her needs during her last weeks.
