Adam ?Blake? Ray
Funeral services for Adam ?Blake? Ray, 28, of Dallas will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2007 at the Longview Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverends Noah Lee and Steve Morcom officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Gilmer under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. He passed away Thursday, July 12, in a Longview hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Blake was born in Longview August 9, 1978. He was a 1996 graduate of Longview High School. He loved life and music and sang at numerous benefits and events in the East Texas area. He was a member of the Longview Community Theater. While in Dallas, Blake co-founded the ?A Group? and sang with the Turtle Creek Chorale.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Yvonne Ray, and grandfather, Paul Morcom.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Teri Lynn Ray and father, Lenny Ray and his wife Debby all of Longview; sisters, Heather Grindle and husband Fred of Tatum, Megan Ray and Haley Baxter both of Longview, and Holli Wynne and husband Billy of Gilmer; brother, Heath Ray, U. S. Navy, and wife Angila of Sasebo, Japan; grandparents, Barbara and Don Pharis of Vernon, TX, Horace Ray of Gilmer, and Linda Morcom of Waco; special longtime friend, Don McPherson of Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Britt Carter, Michael Turner, Fred Grindle, J. J. Moses, Steve Farris and Ryan Moore.
