A. J. Reel's Obituary
Graveside services for A. J. Reel, 75, of Longview will be 11 AM Wednesday at Summerfield Cemetery with Dr. Randy Fitzgerald officiating under direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview.
Mr. Reel died Monday morning January 14, 2002 in a Longview Hospital.
Born April 10, 1926 in Harrison County, he was a lifelong resident of Longview. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church of Judson.
Mr. Reel was retired from sales with the Pillsbury Company. He enjoyed fishing and spending time in the garden. He loved the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; Daughters and sons-in-law: Connie and Dennis Wilson, Becky and Bill Thomas all of Longview; Son and daughter-in-law: David and Mesa Reel of Murphy, TX; Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Stephen Wilson, Kevin and Amanda Thomas of Longview and Karlye Reel of Murphy and his brother: Joseph Reuben Reel of Longview, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 PM on Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Summerfield Cemetery Association.
