I remember spending time at thr Home of Mr Troy & Mrs Theda during our high-school days and understanding what they taught (and expected) their children to be like, and that had a ' Big' inpact on my life.
I also remember some "Wild Rides" around our East Texas Country-side with W.B. & Joe Dean driving - They should have been Race-Car Drivers and I think they thought they were!!
But when we put away our Childish ways and the teaching of our Parents and our Church formed us into the men we became. While the Memory of a "Wild Ride" in our Youth may bring a smile to our face, the Knowledge of Jesus Christ preparing a place for us in His Heaven brings a Glow to our Hearts. W.B. is in his Mansion with Jesus and The Comforter that Jesus sent is here for the Family and all of us who Believe, until we join him in our Mansion.
Billie, Troy Lynn-Jeanette, Joe Dean-Judy, Judy- Chilton, Maxie- Janice my prayer for the Family is to shed a tear for our human loss but Celebrate for his Heavenly gain and to Keep The Faith --- GOD BLESS

W.B. was my barber between 1970 and 1975. The day I got my driver's license in 1971, I drove to get a haircut for my first solo trip. My wallet fell out of my pocket and I noticed when I got home. I drove back to the barber shop in a panic as a new driver that had lost my license. W.B. (as I knew him) had my wallet and we both laughed about it. When i moved to the panhandle of Texas I would drive to Longview once per month to get a good haircut. I finally broke loose and decided to find another barber in Pampa. It was a pleasure knowing W.B. for the short time that i was around him.
Thank you - you will be missed.

We are sorry for the loss of Mr. Lake, my brother was best friends with Chad since little league so he was always Mr. Lake. My husband and boys will miss his hair cuts and his quiet ways. We are praying for all of you. Casey and Stephanie Rice Jones
I have known Walter since Kyle introduced Amanda and the Lake family into Karen and my lives. I quickly learned that Amanda had a wonderful upbringing from Walter and Billie that would work into our lives from then on. To me Walter is a fine example of a true family man. I can tell that he truly loves everyone in his family. I will speak of him in the present for I know he is still with us and will influence many people for generations to come. He did not talk a lot to me, but when he did, it came from a point of knowledge. We attended several sporting events and many cook-out and birthday parties together and I would notice him quietly enjoying them all. It is my opinion that if you love some of the same people that Walter does, you may need to show them a lot more now to make up for what they may miss from him. Good bye friend----Don Biesel
