Fred and Nelva....oh how I loved them. I have so many stories of our times on the lake....but the one that always sticks out in my mind is when I got a call to meet a prospective buyer at a property over in the NE section on a very cold, snowy day. As I rushed around the lake to meet them, I decided no body would be looking at a Lake House in this weather, so I got afraid and went to get a Lake patrol to meet me there. All the patrolmen were our cutting fallen trees, so Jeanie New closed the office and went with me to meet the " prospect". When we arrived, Jeanie knew the "prospect" and quickly announced to Fred..."I am here to protect Nell from you" which prompted great laughter from Fred. Turns out, some friend of Fred and Nelva had called and wanted Fred to check out my listing. And they had been on the lake a long time. That day started a beautiful friendship and later on I sold their house when they left the lake. I am so sorry you have now lost your Mother too. She was such a wonderful lady and always had goodies when I would be showing the house. Great memories of two special people in my life while I sold real estate on Cherokee 30 years. She looks just like I remember her in this picture....beautiful lady. Great memories will help you through this great loss.
