This is somewhat of a late memory, but I just learned of marvin's passing. He & I were friends in Longview back in 1959 or so. 7th grade I always enjoyed riding on his Cushman scooter; even more so when he let me drive! We moved away & I never communicated with him after that, but I can say that he was a great friend back then, and it's no surprise that he grew into a man who was clearly loved & will be missed by so many. i am really gonna miss marvin always taking a jab at me on our nascar challenge game! as many have said, marvin was truly a fine individual and an equally considerate and compassionate man. though we grieve here on earth because we want those who are special to be here with us, it is important to remember that marvin, though we miss and grieve at his absence here with us, is NOW, finally having the time of his life. to the Harts: keep your heads up and bask in the glory that you all were able to be together for so many wonderful years and enjoy a life so rewarding.##imported-begin##dan fisher##imported-end##

Dear Monie and Family, I was so saddened to hear of your loss of Marvin. He was such a great guy and so much fun to be around. I remember probably 20 years or so ago when we were at the Rio and he was dressed as a woman. I know ya'll will miss him dearly. He is in a better place now with no pain. My deepest sympathy to Monie and her family.Marvin was truely a southern gentleman and so very kind even in High School. He never changed.He was blessed in so many ways.... family, friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. My Mom is so very ill that I couldn't attend his service yesterday.I do know that Heaven is even a better place now with the best of guys, Danny Downing and Marvin Hart. I am so sorry for your loss. It was really great being able to see Marvin at the hospital last month after so many years. I know that he was looking forward to comparing our family trees some day.Though I met Marvin over 40 yrs ago and rarly got to see him again he always seemed like a good friend.
