So sorry to hear of your loss. Mom told me the news just today when we talked. Kee
was such a sweet person. Mother is broken hearted, saying Kee was her first "best friend". I remember how your family opened up your home at those great 4th of July Celebrations... Scotty always preparing the fireworks, Susie in the pool and Stevie on the tennis court! Kee in the kitchen and Bobby making sure everyone was having a great time... and we all did! Miss them both! Steve, Susie and Scotty, Our thoughts are with you all as you say goodbye to your wonderful Mother. There is hardly a childhood memory I have that the Comer family was not part of it. Your mom really knew how to make people feel at home and was always so thoughtful. I remember watching her paint Christmas cookies and my Mom (Dot) would not let us eat them because they were a work of art. So many Saturdays spent riding horses, pool parties and the great 4th of July cookouts we had…she made those times our "good old days". It is a blessing to have known her and I am grateful for the times we all shared. My heart is heavy for you but I know she is home with Jesus and that is where we all want to be.

Steve, Susie, and Scotty, Please know that we loved Kee and Bobby dearly and are so sorry we will be out of town for her service. She was an amazing person as is evidenced by the beautiful legacy she leaves behind in you, her beloved family.
We have so many wonderful memories of times spent with the Comers over the past 50 years . I have fond memories of how Mrs. Comer was THE go-to neighborhood vet for all the baby animals we rescued. She took her caregiver role seriously, tending to all our bumps, bruises and scrapes as we marauded the neighborhood around LeDuke Blvd. with kids from the Littles, Hines, Fullers, Colberts and many other families. I will never forget how when I was about 10 yrs old she carried me piggy-back style through the woods to safety at the farm on Airline Road after I seriously gashed my foot on a log while running barefoot. She doctored my wounds, wiped away my tears and kept us going for he next adventure to be had at the Comer farm. In many ways, she helped my childhood to be a rich experience full of adventure, love of family and music, and the healing power of God, both physical and spiritual. While I am sad that she has passed from this life, it brings me great joy to know that she is reunited in heaven with Bobby. I loved both Bobby and Kee like another set of parents.

Growing up 2 doors down from the Comer clan on LeDuke Blvd, will always be some of my fondest childhood memories. Whether we were roller skating or drawing hop scotch games on their driveway (theirs was the only one made of cement), playing with the numerous dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, rabbits, lizards. . . just to name a few of the animals that lived there, Kee made us feel welcome and loved at their home. Somehow, with countless neighborhood kids running through the house at any given time, she always seemed calm - whistling or humming a happy tune, cooking up something wonderful to eat and introducing us to new educational games and music.

As a family we are still being blessed by Kee and Bobby's friendship. They have left their children and grandchildren with a legacy of love and Christian examples of true servants.

With Kee's love of music, I know that she is now enjoying the incomparable songs of heaven!
