First, I want to say I'm sorry for your loss. You guys may not know me but I had the opportunity to know Joe in a orphanage where I grew up in Haiti. This orphanage been running by Pastor Jean Romain and his wife Merese. Joe was known for his unconditional love and support. Over the past years, Joe visited Haiti and put a smile on my face and every child in the orphanage. Joe was one of the few missionaries who would come every December to preach the gospel of God and also to make sure every children at the orphanage has a toy for Christmas. Joe will me missed but will never be forgotten. May God keep comforting you and healing your broken hearts. Pastor Romain and Merese send their condolences and prayers. Love Evens

Joe, I will miss you so much! That mischievous glint in your eye, your great sense of humor, your spiritual and practical encouragement, you prayer support, your financial support too for my family as we serve in Wycliffe...so many memories. You were like a father to me and reflected the love and delight of the heavenly Father. You gave me my first job in Rehabilitation Counseling and it was so great to work with you at Goodwill of the Pines, because each day was a day to shine for Jesus with you...not just a job! I still chuckle at how you told me to get you another cup of coffee or else I would be fired...how you called that irate customer Bubba...and he said, my name AIN'T Bubba! How you called me "More Better" and invited me to join you in praying for and counseling others. How affirming you always were of the gifts and calling of God in other people with your sensitive heart. I will meet you "at the gate" and we will have so much time to "story" like we used to! Praying for comfort and blessings of peace on all who love you and will miss you!

Joe was a kind man. He helped me get clean and sober by helping my parents get me into the DEAD UNIT Treatment Center in 1989. Because of that help I rededicated my life to The Lord and have been clean and sober and living my life for The Lord ever since. He will be missed.

Yesterday we saw a white car like Joe used to drive and recalled his big message lettered across the back window “I GOT IT!” And he certainly did! When he asked Jesus to save him and take over his life and fill him with the Holy Spirit in 1981, Joe was never again the same. And he shared his love and the good news with everyone he could...by mouth, by his business cards (“Try Jesus...If you don’t like him, the devil will always take you back.”) and by his car window message “I GOT IT!” Russell & Raenell Craft
