There are so many memories of JEANNE, but I think our slumber party was one of the best. I had surgery, and I had to spend the night at the hospital. Well, JEANNE insisted that she was going to spend the night to look after me. I told her that I would be alright, the nurses would come in and check vitals. I told our friends to please convince her to go home, but she said that she was staying. The nurses brought in the big lounge chair, pillows and blankets. JEANNE had brought something to eat, so we ate our meal together. She said, “ We are having a slumber party!” She was so excited. That may have been the first slumber party she had ever been to. We were watching TV, but in a little while, we started nodding off. We slept about 3 hours and woke up when the nurses came in. We were wide awake, so we decided to see what was on the Tube. We turned channels and found ME TV! We were so excited because neither one of us had that channel. We both squealed with delight and watched every Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, and all the other golden oldies until daylight. I told JEANNE that I wanted her to go home and get some real rest. I told her the Slumber Party was over. But, what a Party it was. JEANNE had more fun than anyone, and I was so happy for her. JEANNE would do anything for anyone. She was a devoted and wonderful friend. I was blessed that God let us be friends. I can just see her in Heaven. I think we all can —healthy, seeing 20 20, and walking with her beloved Marty. I love you JEANNE. I thank God that He let us be friends. Debbie Brooks
