We were saddened when we read the obituary about Mr. Ray. His picture bought back old memories when the family lived in Abbeville. Our prayers are with the whole family.

Mr.Ray was a great man, friendly to everyone he met, I enjoyed the times I was able to work with him during therapy, he always had a fishing story to tell. I would bring up his family and he would just smile and tell me about his loved -ones. Praying the Lord give you all strength in your time of need.

During his time on earth he made many friends and always had that giant smile. He never had a fear of great challenges and would dive in and come up with solutions.
I can remember so many fun times with cousin Ray in Abbeville, especially when I was a kid in the late 40's and early 50's when we lived across the street from Ray and Anne and next to Uncle Rene' and Nan Dubois
.
Ray was never one to be shy with words. He loved to be with people and was one heck of a cook. I remember when he built his outdoor kitchen on their home on Maude Ave. Rene and Nan Dubois also It was extremely spacious and Ray was so proud of it.
I also remember the many times in Galveston with the O'Bryans, Ray and Anne, and Shirley and Chester Dubois.

Ray was my brother-in-law for 63 years since he married my oldest sister. He was so much more than a brother-in-law to me but a true Canjun who had such a loving heart. I always loved to tell everyone of Ray and his great stories, and of the gumbos, fried fish, shrimp, crawfish and so much more that I grew to enjoy. I always looked forward to the visits Joyce and I made to Abbeville and later to Longview, because I knew that the good times would roll! I will miss Jean Ray very much, but I have such great memories.##imported-begin##Tom Wobbe##imported-end##
I remember going to Aunt Ann's and uncle Ray's all the time when I was little. I used to play in there garage and write on the chalk board that was attached to there telephone in the kitchen. They always had lots of stuff everywhere for me to investigate and there were always treats. I will always remember how big and strong he was and how they always made me smile. Miss and love you Uncle Ray.....##imported-begin##Jennifer Dubois Holcomb##imported-end##
