My Aunt Poo was truly a family treasure. She adored family and was proud of her humble Georgia roots. While growing up, I cherished the times we would get to visit when she and Uncle Ronnie returned to Atlanta. At my request, my high school graduation trip was a solo visit to Longview to spend time with her and the family. Aunt Poo cared deeply about others and I always knew I had a cheerleader in Longview. The world was a better with her in it and she will always have a special place in my heart.
An honorable woman, a loving and faithful wife, and a doting mother. She will be remembered and thought of often for the contribution she made in researching, gathering, and publishing our family genealogy, an accomplished pianist, for her vocal gift inherited by her granddaughter, Jordan and much more.
To her brothers she was “sister”, to the older nieces and nephews she was “Ela”, to the younger ones she was “Poo”, and to everyone else she was an example of “a life well lived”. Until we meet again, you are remembered with much fondness, The McLendon's...Jimmy, Muffett, and Ricky.
So many fond memories of Mama Poo growing up down the street. Ron, Lee, Bubba and family , we are thinking and praying for you and all at this time.
With Love,
Kaye and Kyle Perry
My sincere condolences to the family.
Respectfully,
James A. Marples.

We are saddened to learn of God calling Poo home to heaven's grace and love. We have missed being with her these many years and ask God's support and love on the family. Our thoughts will always remember her being a loving Christian friend.

Loved having Miss Poo and Mr. Ron as neighbors for our time on Buckner Drive. I sure hate to have not visited as much as we should have in the last few years. Loved how proud Miss Poo was to be the oldest on the block, our time spent visiting/looking at each other's plants and flowers... couldn't believe it at the time and can't believe it's been 6-7 years ago that she was racing my kids across the front yard- I hope to be able run/jog up into my 80's!!
To Mr. Ron and family, we are so sorry for your loss. So thankful for the time we had with Miss Poo!
