Nell, Wayland and I are so very sorry for your loss.. Haven't seen you in a while but have thought about you many times. We had some fun times doing Amway! I lost my mom this year on Jan. 31st. There is nothing you can say when you lose a best friend. Donnie was certainly that and he will be sorely missed. I knew I could always call on him and discuss anything and that meant so much over the almost 40 years. He helped me through some rough times and I take comfort that I could do the same for him. Our prayers go out to his loving family that they know the suffering is over and he is at peace with his maker.

I am just now seeing this about Don or I would have most certainly come by the funeral home for visitation. Don was so kind, and so sweet and had the best personality. I have many, many fond memories of him. My heart is breaking for your family. I will most certainly keep you all in my prayers.

Dear Nell & Family,
I am so sorry for your loss of a wonderful husband, father & grandfather. Don was one of the nicest men I've ever known. He was so kind to Daddy (Neal) when Mama (Sarah )passed away in Shreveport & Don drove Daddy all the way home to Atlanta that night. Daddy was so appreciative & so was I. I will keep you in my prayers for God to grant you peace & strength for the difficult days ahead. I also remember & thank you, Nell, for your gracious help at the house during our rough days...you & your sweet sister, Ann. I have always loved you all even though we don't get to visit much. We have been blessed with a wonderful family & lots of cousins. May The Lord walk with you and carry you through.

Uncle Don will be greatly missed. He taught me a lot about the Oil and Gas Industry. He helped me get the career that I am blessed to have today. He was a great fishing partner and loved to laugh and have fun. Our sympathy and prayers will continue for Aunt Nell, Sid, Norm, and their families as they go through this difficult time. I know with all of my heart that Uncle Don is in Heaven.....well as soon as he gets through talking with St. Peter at the Pearly Gates.
