A celebration of the life of Della Hicks will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 27 in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery on Harrison Road. The service will be officiated by Read Obituary

To my second family Linda, Johnny and Kelli. I am so sorry for your loss and ya'll are in my prayers. Ganny was a wonderful woman and she will be missed. She was a grandmother I never had. Some of my best memories are of her and how she could make me laugh with just a few simple words. I pray peace over you guys and I love ya'll very much!

Freda and Linda - My heart goes out to you in the loss of your sweet Mother. Even though we all rejoice - along with our Savior Ps.116:15- at her home-going, there is still such a hole in our hearts. I am sorry to hear of Della passing, but we know heaven is rejoicing! I will always remember Dellas quick witt and wonderful sense of humor! She was a precious little lady who cared for hundreds of Mobberlys young ones!

Sweet Ganny who loved her family and the many children

she sheparded over the years. I'm glad we got to visit with Della at the
family outings. It was good to know that she and mother were good

Memories of Della always include humorous stories, sharp quips, and loyalty to her family and friends. For months she wrote a weekly card to Rod's mom, Della's sister-in-law. She always sent a scripture or spiritual message and of course, a little humor to brighten the day. What a dear, sweet lady! She will be greatly missed.
