She was an inspiration and a friend as well as my grandmother. She cleaned and cooked the crayfish and catfish I caught with grandaddy and the squirrels we shot when I was a kid. She took the time to show me how to cut corn off the cob and make it cream style. She always browned my grandaddys bisquits at breakfast cause that was the way he liked them. When we went to Timpson to visit there was not one but two to four new outfits she had sewn for me hanging on the curtains in her laundry/sewing room. I always cherish the memories of my childhood summers spent in Timpson. We always went to church at Corinth on Sunday. She is there now in the Cemetery next to her Beau and her boys. I love her and will never forget her. Leanna Crump Echols
