Services for Betty Sue Stevens, 70, of Longview, will be held 2 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at the Greggton United Methodist Church with Dr. Lynne Settlemyre, Anthony Caggiano and Todd Fleming officiating. Interment will follow a Read Obituary
I have known Betty for many years as I was in NABW with her in the early 60s. I remember how happy she was when she got Betinna. I have never heard anyone say anything but good about her. I first worked with Betty at Longview National Bank back in the middle 60's. I knew her when she and Bill experienced the joy of Bettina. Through the years we've worked at other places, but always were glad to see each other when we met. We both joined Women's Forum and enjoyed that. Betty was truely a friend to Longview and every person she met there. Betty was a very giving person, and was always happy to help no matter what was ask of her. Betty assisted me with the work we did as officers of Longview Woman's Forum and was an inspiration for all members of Woman's Forum.
I will miss my friend but I know God must be a little more content tonight with Betty to spread her welcoming smile in heaven.

Betty was my first supervisor in the loan department at Longview National Bank. I learned so much from her and am honored to have worked with her. I have many fond memories of Betty and Bill and my Mother and I going to David Beard's Catfish Village in Ore City for dinner. They were always a pleasure to be with. Betty will be greatly missed by her customers, co-workers and friends.
