We are indeed sorrowful at the passing from this life of such a fine man who dedicated his life to serving his Lord, his family, and many others. However, he was welcomed home to heaven at the moment of his passing from here.
We salute "Mr. Berle's" service in both the U.S. Army and the Longview Fire Department. He truly served his country and his community to the utmost putting others first always.
When Mr. Berle had his plumbing business, he was "my plumber" along with his son, Buddy, whom I also worked with in the Longview Fire Department, and who still serves there.
What a great honor when Mr. Berle heard Jesus say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter now unto the joys of thy Lord."
God speed Mr. Berle until we meet again in heaven.
To his family, my sincere condolences and prayers for all of you in the days ahead.
