Mrs.Godfrey was one of the greatest mentors and bright light to shine in a lot of us at Hallsville. One of the kindest ladies I’ve had the privilege to know. She is now dancing into the gates of Heaven with Mr. Godfrey. Go Rest high Mary!!!
Mammaw will be greatly missed by her “favorite” Grandson, Jonathan Godfrey his wife Whitney & great grands; Jameson, Guinevere, Braxton & soon Declan. “We are glad you are with Jesus Mammaw - love Jameson”
I’m so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. However, we all know she’s rejoicing and well now. Our family’s’ lives intertwined for so many precious years in Hallsville. I have many fond memories. I know you 3 guys were her pride and joy! I’m sorry I could not attend because of my husband’s health and hospitalization. Your mom and dad were so very kind and special all our lives.

I will always remember her as sweet little Mary. Whenever I would talk to my friends about her that’s how I would refer to her. I first met Mary quite a few years ago when I was a caregiver for her, and she quickly became a dear special friend in my life unfortunately as usual, I delayed going to see her this time. It had been several weeks since I’ve visited and every day I would say I need to go see sweet little Mary today, but I didn’t unfortunately I say this to say anytime that little voice speaks to you to call someone or go see them do it instead of just thinking about it. I am so thankful though that she is now with her dear beloved husband, whom she talked about so often. Mary will always hold a deer and special place in my heart. I will never forget her.
