Fonda and Kevin, Val and Kenneth, et al,
We love all of you and will miss WC and his always interesting observations about life. I greatly enjoyed working with him in the "Toilet Factory" that may sound funny to outsiders. I learned lots about fiberglass manufacturing from him, and that experience was helpful to me. He was a great teacher and always encouraging about my projects.
WC always had a little twist of wry humor and and seemed to salt most of what he said with a little bit of cynicism...just enough to be challenging to one's thinking. He always impressed me as the guy that you could look up to. Even as a kid I was impressed by seeing his model airplanes hanging in the room off to the side of the house. I still envision what I think was a Piper Cub. When he lived with us in the 50's he talked about this new material, "fiberglass" and how strong it was. I tested a sample without his knowledge one day by placing it under my Dad's rear right car tire. It broke. I thought he may be wrong, but he understood what it was supposed to do even if I didn't.
I want to read his book ?It Is Hard to Miss Something You Never Had? and to review his geneology material some day. He is something we all had, to our benefit and pleasure. We definitely will miss him. I look forward to seeing him again 'cause no matter what it may seem to some folks, he will rise again someday. We will have lots of things to talk about and do.
We love you all.##imported-begin##Jerry Carlow, Sandra and Family##imported-end##
