I don't know if a single memory will do justice so I am going to share how he always made me feel. My Uncle David was one person that always no matter what made me feel like I was just enough no matter the situation. He never made me feel like I had to shrink or make myself small to fit in to the situation. I was always good enough just as I was. I will forever be grateful for the years he spent with me counseling me and pouring his wisdom into me. He always seemed to have time me and never turned me away when I was in need of a kind word or words of wisdom. I love you Uncle David and even now your words of encouragement, prayers and, wisdom still stay with me and help me still. Till we meet again I thank you.
My most fondest memory, we were on a week fishing trip in Mena Arkansas, while fishing everyone got hungry, I said, I have some sardines , everyone started eating, I looked over at David and he was gutting his sardine, told him he didn't have to do that, he said if I'm going to eat them, I am gutting them !!!!!
He baptized me when I was 7. He cared a lot about the kids. Always checked on people when they couldn't attend church. Answered phone calls and text messages at anytime. He always had something nice to say or a funny story to share. He was a great man, always kind and caring. My heart goes out to the family of this man for their loss.
