My deepest condolence for the family of Mr. Propes. He was my drafting teacher @ GPHS. I came to enjoy drafting, even working for 12yrs as a draftsman and it was due a large part to the wonderful teachings of Mr. Propes. Sorry, for the lateness of this message. Duane and Joan,
Clarence was so special to me in so many ways. He was one of the most caring, wonderful, funny, loving gentlemen I have ever known. He was always happy and always knew what to say to make me feel better. He would put those big strong arms around me to hug me and I would feel so safe and protected. He had such a love for children. Alicia was very fond of him because he always took the time to mess with her and give her a little extra attention. He loved the Lord and he loved his family and that was always very evident. Please know I am a phone call away and will continue to pray for all of you. Love you always!!

Dear Joan and Duane,
Our love and prayers are with you in the loss of your wonderful husband and father, Clarence Propes. Clarence and I enjoyed many years working together at Kilgore College, and Diane and I have enjoyed our times with you both at the K.C. Retirees luncheons and at First Baptist Church, Longview.
