I first met Jim Ed Fullen,II. In Tyler Tx in 1990. Jim Ed will always be remembered as a good friend, fraternity brother, groomsmen, and a good hearted person. Jim Ed always kept are Apartment so clean throughout are Tyler days I always got a wonderful lecture over neatness. Know I have learned to be a little neater. I will buy that bottle of Dom! that we always talked about. And I will cherish are memories for the rest of my life. Mrs. Ashmore your son made me a better person. I knew Jim from the very many stories that my husband, Dustin, told me since the moment I met him. I was fortunate enough to meet Jim days before our wedding, as he and Jeremy were my husband\\\'s \\\"best men.\\\" My heart sinks a bit for all those that love Jim and have a part of them missing since he is no longer here on earth with us. But my husband believes Jim is sitting on the island they always dreamt about, with a spot right along the shore, reserved for all of us. I met Jim while serving in the Airforce through Dustin Mckeever, one his friends he also had met while in the Airforce. We all became true friends, more like brothers. I remember us going to the coast on the weekends, I would usually drive and Jim would be conviently passed out in the back seat. He would always wake up just as we got to the beach and would occasionaly do his alternate personality of \\\"monkey boy\\\" which would drive you nuts.. I don\\\'t think he ever drove, he was good at weaseling he way out of it, but we always had a great time. What I will miss most about Jim is that wonderful smile of his, which usually ment he was up to something and his wonderful insight of life. He will always be alive in my heart and I will never forget how he touched my life. He will be very missed and I will look forward in seeing him in the next stage of life. The first time I met Jim was April 1996 in San Antonio, TX. We had an immediate connection and ended up talking until the sun came up. From that point on I knew he was meant to be in my life forever in one way or another. Jim had my heart. He was a very special person and the most original person I have ever known. There isn?t anything he wouldn?t do to help others; especially his family and friends. I will forever behold fond memories we shared. Jim truly loved life and everything it had to offer and he was a person that was so impressive and magnetic. One look and that smile, and he had you.

Jim worked for me as a PT technician at Lackland AFB. I had always encouraged him to finish his education and was pleased to see that he had done so. He was one of the most professional airman that had ever worked for me. He loved to help others and it showed in his actions every day. We had a unique connection since my wife Kelly Hepler was from Longview and we shared many stories about East Texas.
I am truly sorry that I missed his funeral, but wish to convey my condolences to his family. He served his country with great pride, you should be very proud of him.##imported-begin##Lt Col Cliff Hall##imported-end##
