    Sylvia Sue Bolding

    July 13, 1935 - February 26, 2022

    Sylvia Sue Bolding, age 86, of Kilgore, Texas, went to heaven on February 26, 2022, in Longview, Texas. And, yes, she will be playing the piano for Dad and the heavenly choir! Sylvia was born on July 13,1935, in Lexington, Kentucky to parents Henry Boyd Caudill and Matilon Banks Caudill. She attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Sylvia is preceded in death by husband, Bobby Ray Bolding of Coweta, Oklahoma, January 21, 2012. Sylvia married Bob Bolding in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Caudill Lentz, her children, Pamela Kay Hall (Larry David Hall), Stephen Paul Bolding (Cynthia Lynn Bolding),and Robert Boyd Bolding (Kimberly Ann Bolding), her grandchildren, Amy Michelle Tanner, Tracy Nicole Tanner, Molly Beth Favero (Brian), Casey Colton Bolding, Carly Rose McBeth (Rafe), Katelyn Michelle Clement (Adam), Rebecca Jayne Feilmann (Cale), her great grandchildren, Emery Mae McBeth, Harlow Rae McBeth, Ruby Jane Favero, Knox Wayne Favero, Owen Tanner Evans, and Bode Sloan Evans. Sylvia taught piano for over sixty years having taught her last piano lesson five days before she left this earth. When she and Bob moved to Kilgore, Texas, in 1981, Sylvia started the Kilgore Area Music Teachers Association of which she was the active president until the day she passed into eternity. She was also very active in the music ministry of her church, Mobberly Baptist in Longview, Texas, where she sang in the choir. A celebration of Sylvia’s life is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on March 22, 2022, at Mobberly Baptist Church in Longview, Texas. Her oldest son, Rev. Paul Bolding, pastor of Starrville Community Church in Winona, Texas, will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sylvia’s life. In lieu of flowers/donations, please send donations to Forest Home Baptist Church Music Ministry, 15746 County Road 173 North, Kilgore, Texas,75662, for their many years of donating their facilities for Sylvia’s piano recitals and the recitals of the Kilgore Area Music Teachers Association.
