    May 21, 1996 - December 18, 2016

    Funeral services for Samuel Brown, 20, of Longview, Texas, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Oakland Heights Baptist Church, Longview, Texas. Interment will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas at Mount Olivet Cemetery. A time of visitation will be Wednesday, December 21st from 5-7pm at Radar Funeral Home of Longview. Samuel Andrew Brown departed to be with his Heavenly Father, December 18, 2016. He was the youngest of four children born to Lee Alan Brown and Kathleen Pharis Brown. He was born on May 21, 1996 in Port Arthur, Texas. He was involved in numerous extra-curricular activities and sports throughout high school. In high school, Samuel was a member of Pine Tree Cross Country and Swim Team. He also took welding in High School and went to UIL State Competition for welding and auto-mechanics. He lettered in both Swim Team and Welding. He graduated high-school from Pine Tree in 2015. Samuel attended Kilgore College completing a certification in Auto-Body Technology and pursuing a certification in Auto-Mechanics. He was a member of Longview Comic Book Club and attended Sovereign Love Church. Samuel loved fishing and went any chance he got. He was a big Star Wars buff. Sam loved his friends and family and would go to great lengths to help those in need. He also had a big heart for his nephews and niece. Although, the death of Samuel is nothing but tragic we are comforted in knowing he had a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus and is rejoicing in Heaven. Samuel was proceeded in death by his grandparents Kenneth and Ruth Brown and William Henry Pharis Jr. Samuel is survived by his parents, Lee and Kathie Brown; His siblings Philip Brown, Rebekah Gillespie and husband, John, Christina Pritchett and husband, Jeremy; nephews and niece: John Micah and Alice Gillespie, Henry Pritchett; grandmother: Jeanne Anne Pharis.
