    Ruby L. Lindsey

    September 20, 1930 - March 25, 2022

Ruby was born September 20, 1930, in Bryant, Arkansas to Samuel Berry and Sarah Elizabeth Green. She married Lloyd Lindsey on October 3, 1954. Ruby and her family moved from Little Rock, Arkansas to Kilgore, Texas in 1972 when her husband, Lloyd was transferred with his work. She was a long time and faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Liberty City and a dedicated member of the Sojourners Sunday School class. She enjoyed playing Rummikub, working puzzles, watching basketball, and visiting with family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Russell Lindsey and his wife Linda of Dallas, Gary Lindsey and his wife Leighann of Ft. Worth, Kim Holcomb and her husband Matt of Longview; grandchildren, Matthew Lindsey and his wife Kelsey of Ft. Worth, Garrett Lindsey and his wife Jamie of League City, Jacob Lindsey and his fiancé Victoria of Dallas, Sarah Lindsey and her fiancé Reece of Austin, and Addison Holcomb of San Antonio. She also leaves behind a number of truly wonderful and caring nieces and nephews. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lloyd Lindsey, her parents, brothers, Joe Green, Tommy Green, Pete Green, JC Green, Leo Green, Morris Green and sisters, Julia Keating and Cokie Humbard. The family would like to recognize some dear friends of Ruby’s whose love and support meant the world to her; Pat Morton, Barbara Bodle, Kathy Hancock, and Shirley Sandlin. They would also like to thank the staff of Encompass Home Health for their constant care and support of Ruby giving her the opportunity to live independently until the end. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
