    Paul E. Sharpe Sr.

    January 20, 1942 - January 31, 2022

    Paul Edward Sharpe, Sr., 80, of Longview passed away on January 31, 2022 in Longview, Texas at his home. A visitation will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1-3 PM at Rader Funeral Home in Longview, Texas. Paul was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on January 20, 1942 to Ralph Walter Sharpe and Virginia Fern Crouch. He graduated from school in Fort Smith, Arkansas. After high school, he enlisted and served in the United States Army. On June 17, 1967 he married Carlota Galindo Sharpe. They were married for 47 years at the time of her passing in 2014. Although he was not able to for the last few years, he greatly enjoyed playing golf with friends, his son and grandson. In his younger years he enjoyed spending time on his ranch and tending to his cattle. Throughout the life of his grandkids, he has enjoyed supporting and watching all of them in their various school and sporting activities and was very proud of each and every accomplishment they had. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carlota Sharpe, one brother, Tommy Sharpe, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his children: Paul Edward Sharpe, II of Hallsville and is wife Tina, his sons, Riley and Brayden and step-son, Coltyn; and Shannon Happney of Longview, her husband, Will, her daughters, Jessica and Megan and step-son, John Wesley; brother, Marshall Sharpe and wife Carol; sister, Gail Ragsdale and husband Johnny; Sister-in-Law, Cecilia Codrey; Sister-in-Law, Rachel Espolt and husband Steve; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Prime Care Hospice for their care, kindness and dedication during this time.
