    Patricia Ann Hays Curry

    May 4, 1938 - November 20, 2021

    On Saturday, November 20, 2021, Patricia Ann Hays Curry entered the presence of her Savior while surrounded by family. She was 83 years old at the time of her death in Longview, Texas. A visitation will be held at Rader Funeral Home in Longview from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2021. She will be buried at Rosewood Park on Monday, November 29, 2021, following a private family graveside service. Patricia Curry (Pat) was born on May 4, 1938, in McNeil, Arkansas to Jimmie Faye Aldridge Hays and Truman J. Hays. After growing up in Columbia County, Arkansas, she graduated from Magnolia Senior High School in 1956 and attended Ouachita Baptist University as well as Southern Arkansas University. On June 21, 1959, she married Raymond I. Curry at Central Baptist Church in Magnolia. After briefly living in Shreveport, Louisiana, she and Raymond moved to Longview where they raised their two children and spent 62 years together before her death. Throughout her life, Pat showed her love for God through dedicated service to her church, community, and family. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with loved ones which included many lifelong friends from First Baptist Longview and Mobberly Baptist Church. She enjoyed participating in social and civic activities throughout the years including lifetime membership in PTA, Longview Women’s Forum, Longview Symphony Board of Directors, Longview Christian Women and various garden clubs. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Curry of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Paul Morgan of Flower Mound; son Ben Curry of Dallas; grandchildren Garrett and Shaina Morgan, Bryce Morgan, and Truett Morgan; nieces Kay Freeman, Karen and Dale Cockrell; and nephew Jimmy Hays. If desired and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highway 80 Rescue, Longview Animal Care & Adoption Center through Longview PAWS, or a charity of your choice.
