    Patricia Classen

    February 23, 1955 - April 4, 2021

Funeral services for Patricia Haines Classen, 66, of Longview, will be held at 10 AM Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Mobberly Baptist Church with Reverend Paul Coleman officiating. Services are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM. A private family burial will follow at Rosewood Park. Pat was born in Grand Prairie, TX on February 23, 1955 to Jack and Claudia Haines. She was raised in Shreveport and moved to Longview in the late 1970’s to start her career with IBM. She was married to love of her life, Steve Classen, on May 12, 1979. If you had to pick one word for a theme for Pat’s life, it would be LOVE. Her love for the Lord, love for her family, and love for others, were demonstrated over and over again to her family and those closest to her. She loved her church, especially the Special Friends Ministry of Mobberly. She would spend hours and hours during the week preparing for Sunday morning. She had a deep intimacy with the Lord and put her relationship with God first in every aspect of her life. She loved spending time reading God’s word and praying for her grandchildren. Pat was a selfless woman who faced many hardships in her life. She loved putting others needs ahead of her own, and never once complained about her situation or circumstances. She also had a passion for Mexican food and Star Wars. She shared a special bond with her grandson, Josiah, over Star Wars. On Easter Sunday, Pat got to see the face of the risen Lord, hear the voice of the risen Lord, and enter into the presence of the risen Lord. What a glorious day for her life well lived. Pat was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years, Steve Classen; her son and daughter-in-law, Zachary and Jessica Classen; her grandchildren Addie and Josiah Classen; her sisters Cathy Cowden and husband David, and Tracy Mann and husband Michael; her brother, Jack Haines and his wife Lindy; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial guestbook may be signed online at www.raderfh.com.
