Marlene Gordon

Marlene Rae Gordon left her earthly home on February 25, 2022. Marlene was born June 30, 1932 to Weldon (Tom) and Bera Kennedy Thompson. Marlene married Kenneth Gordon in 1955. This union produced 2 children, Kathy Gordon Miles and Stephen Gordon. Marlene was a member of the Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school and was a faithful member. She enjoyed Garden Club, reading, doing crosswords, and walking. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She taught us all by example to be Christlike. May long live the beauty that came down and through and onto all of us. Preceding Marlene in death were her husband Kenneth Gordon, parents Weldon and Bera Thompson, father-in-law and mother-in-law Earl and Willie Gordon, sister Carolyn Evans, sisters-in-law Betty Graham and Shirley McAdoo. Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter Kay Miles husband Gene and son Stephen Gordon wife Melanie. Grandchildren, Scott Miles wife Leanna, Brad Miles wife Amanda, Sunni Cates husband Robert, Holly Hammons, Miranda Hammons, Erin Hammons and Dusty Seay. Great grandchildren, Caleb Miles, Rushmore Miles, Maggie Miles, Clark Cates, Hadley Cates and Thomas Chapman. Brother-in-Law Bill Gordon and sister-in-law Ann Gordon as well as his nieces, Angela Britt, Stephanie Cooley and Zetta Parks (Dennis), and nephews, Phillip Gordon (Mandy), Don Hale Jr (Doris), Weldon Evans (Fay), and Joe Suttles. In lieu of flowers please just pay it forward when the opportunity arises. Marlene was always doing something nice for others. Services for Marlene Gordon will be graveside at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, March 12, 2022 at 10 AM, with a celebration of life at Stephen and Melanie Gordon's to follow.
