Margie Christene Naron went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Services will be held at The Chapel of Rader Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 10 am. Burial will follow in Colonial Gardens in Marshall. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm Monday. Mrs. Naron was born June 17, 1922 to George and Thelma Jones Cochran in Minden, Rusk County, Texas. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1940. She married Melvin Richard Naron of Daingerfield on March 24, 1942 while he served in the Air Corp. They lived in Houston for 38 years before retiring in Longview. She retired from Tenneco, Inc. of Houston as a Corporate and Legal assistant. Previously she worked for 15 years in the auditing department of Sears in Houston. She was a volunteer at Good Shepherd Medical Center for 17 years. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 60 years; her parents; three brothers-in-law Woodrow Sikes, Wesley Naron, Walter Loflin; and a sister-in-law Peggy Cochran. She is survived by her sister Ruby L. Sikes; brother James W. Cochran, all of Longview; sisters-in-law Ann Naron of Houston, Betty Loflin of Daingerfield; niece Patricia Naron Tieken of Houston; five nephews Gary Sikes and wife Betty, Roy Sikes and wife Gail, Dale Sikes all of Longview, Ron Loflin and wife Susan Phil Naron of Houston; several great nieces and other relatives. She was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church since 1984, she loved her Sunday School Class and was active in it until health problems interfered.
