    Jim Osburn

    September 7, 1941 - January 11, 2022

    Graveside services for Jim Osburn, 80, of Henderson are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Rusk County Memorial Gardens in Henderson, Texas with Rev. Glen Ketchum officiating. Rader Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Jim Kenneth Osburn went to his heavenly home on January 11, 2022 after a brief illness with his family at his bedside. He was born September 7, 1941 in Tyler, Texas the second son of George and Mary Alice Osburn. He grew up in Tyler and Overton and eventually moved to Henderson in 1971. Jim, his father and brother, Neil Osburn owned/operated the Osburn’s Meat-O-Rama (local meat shop) until he retired in 1983. In his past-time he thoroughly enjoyed hunting with his walker hounds for over 65 years. His sidekick the last 10 years, Junior, a mini dachshund was by his side at all times. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patsy Gene Osburn, two sons, Kelly and Wendy Osburn of Celina; Monte Osburn of Austin. Grandchildren Amanda Sobota of McKinney; Victoria Osburn of Dallas; Luke Osburn of Celina; Jake Osburn of Celina; and 3 great granddaughters, Syndi, Ellison and Tatum. Also, his extended family is comprised of a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his oldest grandson Kyle Osburn, his parents and brother. In lieu of flowers- donations can be made to Calvary Assembly of God Church in Henderson on his behalf.
