    Colleen Clark

    November 28, 1936 - January 1, 2009

One of Longview's finest ladies, Colleen Clark, 72, left this world and entered into her Eternal Home after a lengthy illness on January 1, 2009. Services for Mrs. Clark sill be at 2:00 pm Monday, January 5th at the Winterfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Rita Sims officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Park Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Rd. on Sunday, January 4th from 5 to 7 pm. Colleen was born November 28, 1936 in Clyde, Texas to L.W. and Lenora Smith Clemmer. A fifty-year resident of Longview, Colleen truly touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a tireless optimist, always seeing the best in others. Colleen's life centered around her family, friends, and the many relationships she developed as the owner of Casa Flora Flower Shop for over twenty years. Colleen leaves a rich legacy as a mother, grandmother, and businesswoman and as a mentor for her staff. Mrs. Clark was a ray of sunshine to all the lives she touched. She demonstrated this light working with Campfire, the Boy Scouts, her church, and serving as a past president of the Allied Florists Local Association. Despite her own physical challenges, Colleen always had a positive attitude and took great joy in the accomplishments and talents of her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and loved to share her tasty dishes with others. Colleen is survived by her husband, Kenneth L. Clark, Jr. of Longview; her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth L. Clark, III and Shelia of Diana; her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Bruce Slover of Longview; grandchildren, Kenneth L. Clark, IV and Mason L. Clark; a brother, Morris Lynn Corley of Irving, her cousins, Bitsy Berryman of Tyler and Beth Barr of Abilene, and her loyal companion and loving dog, Buddy. The family requests that those desiring to do so, make contributions to the Winterfield United Methodist Church, 2616 Tryon Rd. Longview, TX 75605.
