Carol Davidson
November 20, 1954 - October 25, 2021
The most honest person you could ever want to know. Loved her family to a fault. She could criticize them all she wanted but shame on you if you said something. Carol passed away in Longview, Texas on Monday, October 25, 2021. There was no grey area in most of the things in her life- it was right or it was wrong, good or bad, by the book or not. That was the way she lived her life. All she expected of people was for them to do the right thing. Carol loved to read, watch TV, travel, shop with family and friends and visit her family. Carol was a faithful person until the minute she passed away. Born into a wonderful family near Kansas City, MO. One of 8 children with 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She was a beautiful aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Carol started working as a teenager and became a very independent woman before 20. Met her husband Don, on a trip to Houston, TX to visit her sister, Evelyn. They were married on December 24, 1977 and lived in Channelview, TX before moving to Longview in 1979 and 1980. She worked as a waitress, a seamstress, bank teller, business owner, and bank compliance auditor until retiring in May this year. During this time she was helping Don build the house they shared until her death and making it a home. She cared deeply for her family and spent as much time as possible visiting them in Missouri. She was ready to help if she knew someone needed it. She attended numerous churches with her husband over the years but for the past two years primarily attended Lake of the Pines Baptist Church. When her health started affecting her and COVID hit, they sat in the vehicle in the parking lot to attend service. Carol was a private person most of the time when not working or with family, but to really get to know her was a treasure. She will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to can be made to your churches or your favorite local charity.
