    Betty Marie McCrary

    July 6, 1922 - December 1, 2009

Betty Marie McCrary Funeral services for Betty Marie McCrary, 87, of Longview, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home of Longview, with the Rev. Rob Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery. She passed away, Tuesday morning, December 1, 2009, in a Longview hospital. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 3, 2009, at the funeral home. Mrs. McCrary was born 1 of 13 children on July 6, 1922, to Robert and Dora Arnold and was a longtime resident of the Longview area. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Marie was known to many people as "Granny" because she treated everyone she met as though they were one of her own. She loved to sew, cook, garden and fish, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She raised her children in the community of Gum Springs and was well known and loved by all in the community. Granny will always be remembered for her witty humor and her loving ways. She will be very much loved and missed by all of her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 69 years, Doyce L. McCrary of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Mark Wilson of Tenaha; sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Dane and Charlotte McCrary and Billy and Sandy McCrary all of Longview; grandchildren, Vicki Montgomery, Brandon McCrary, Blake McCrary, Stacie Perry, Chris Duncan and Tony Duncan; great-grandchildren, Rehanna Wiedeman, Damie McCrary, Blane McCrary, Bryan Perry, Heather Perry, Brittnee Duncan, Dain Duncan, Casey Duncan and Chris Montgomery; and great-great-grandson, Kai Man.
